I created Tipsy Petal, a self watering

plant pot made from recycled wine

bottles . The product comes in a kit that

includes the soil, seeds, and mesh/string.

Self watering plant pots are something

that anyone can utilize, from

experienced gardeners to new plant

owners. I wanted to create something

that could be made from the materials

around me and provide a unique

experience for the consumer while

providing a plant related service.

For this project, I wanted to stay away

from the typical “green” design on

recycled products and bring a fresh and

modern feel to the brand. My goal was

to make it stand out among plant products and catch the consumer’s attention.
